   Compared to last week: Not enough Slaughter steers for a market test. 
High dressing Lean Steers are steers sold primarily to the ethnic
market and most are extremely lean. Today those steers sold 2.00-3.00
higher. Demand good. Slaughter Holstein steers sold 2.00-3.00 higher on
a very light test. Slaughter heifers not tested. Slaughter cows sold
1.00-2.00 higher. Slaughter bulls sold 3.00-4.00 lower on light demand.
Cattle supplies included 192 steers; 281 heifers; 356 cows; 101 bulls;
and 193 feeder calves. All prices per cwt.


   Slaughter Steers: High Choice and Prime 3-4  1500-1600 lbs few 
108.00. Choice 2-3  1450-1600 lbs few 100.00-101.00. Select 1-2  1425-
1550 lbs few 96.00-99.00. High Dressing Lean Steers 1250-1700 lbs
